The exchange program to the UIK provides work and training opportunities in a variety of exchange related programs that are created to fit both your career and educational goals.

Our service to you

TEP Pty Ltd has worked in conjunction with International Exchange Program UK (IEPUK) since 1990 offering an equine and agriculture exchange program to the UK. Our services include:

  • Initial advice and direction
  • Processing and planning
  • Assistance with visa process
  • Coordination of flights
  • Coordination of insurance
  • Back up service

Requirements

The criteria for a Training and Work Experience Scheme (TWES) is as follows

Experience/Qualifications

  • Relevant academic/vocational experience to N/SVQ level 3 or above
  • 12 months previous relevant work experience at N/SVQ level 3 to enable applicant to benefit from the work experience program or
  • Be a student studying at college for a qualification relevant to the proposed work experience and having reached a level of study

The criteria for a Business and Commercial Work Permit (B&C) is as follows
Experience/Qualifications

  • Applicants must have a good command of English
  • A UK equivalent degree level qualification
  • An HND level qualification which is relevant to the post on offer
  • An HND level qualification which is not relevant to the post on offer plus 1 year of full time work experience at N/SVQ level 3 or above
  • 3 years full time experience of using specialist skills acquired through doing the type of job full time which the permit is sought. This should be at N/SVQ level 3 or above

The criteria for a Working Holiday visa is as follows

  • Be a citizen of a commonwealth country
  • Be aged between 18 and 30
  • Want to come to the UK for an extended holiday and intend to take employment as part of the holiday
  • Be single with no dependants
  • Have means to support yourself while in the UK
  • Have not previously held a UK working holiday visa
  • Intend to leave the UK at the end of the visa

Placement opportunities
Through the exchange program the following placement types are available

Agriculture: 
    Arable and livestock - Placement available July to October 
    Lambing - Placement available February to early May 
    Harvest – Weather dependent, but placement available June/July to October 
    Dairy workers - Placement available all year round, with short term placement available
Equine: 
    Racing - Placement available all year round 
    Breeding - Placement available January to July 
    Yearling and sales prep – Placement available April to November 
    Sport horse - Placement available all year round 
    Riding school – Placement available all year round
Horticulture: 
    Glasshouse production - Placement available April to November
